I just got a roll full of brand new 2023 D halves. Should I keep these?

I personally would not, but it should depend on your collecting goals (and available space). Can you share a little bit about what you want from these coins?

Half Dollars are no longer de facto NIFC for the past few years. Just keep a few of the best examples, then dump or spend the rest.

Spend them. MS68 graded examples are only selling for around 25 - 30$. Doesn't seem to be any demand for them besides filling a hole in an album.

I would keep the best two or so and spend the rest. By spending them you help keep Half Dollars circulating.

I've been doing my part...any purchase under 7 dollars is paid with all halves. Many clerks have said" wow I haven't seen one of those in awhile"

would not keep the roll just the best. if its not MS67 or 68 potential then its not worth keeping. post any you think reach that number on the grading forum and get some assessments. keep in mind that the chances finding a 68 is pretty much like finding a key coin in circulation and even the smallest flaws and marks would keep it out of the 67 box. they are out there but fairly rare.
