I was considering purchasing this coin, except the black blotch, at about 11:30, to the right of the star, on the obverse, is bothering me; it's hard to see, but there is a small darker spot at the center of the blotch that makes it look like corrosion may have started.
Advice and wisdom are greatly appreciated

It looks like it has been cleaned. And the scratches above the eagles head do not look random. I don't see this straight grading.

Definitely a corrosion spot on the upper left of the obverse. With precision, you may be able to remove it.

Besides that, the coin is certainly cleaned and should be purchased as a details coin.
Suffering from bust half fever.

If it's bothering you now, it'll continue to bother you if you purchase it.
The coin is obviously cleaned, and 1819 was a high mintage year.
I'd advise to keep looking.

Thank you all, will pass on this one. Corrosion + cleaning is a no sale for me. I will keep looking.

Two good pieces of advice.
