A bit past AU, some jaw flattening. Also a good bit of flattening of the wheat grains and lines. The TPG's seem to be more generous than I with the 31S's but I like it as a VF-35, 40 with good eye appeal. |

Well, not only did PCGS over grade it a bit but they also detailed it. I'm guessing for the thin line scratches on the obverse?. Which "Scratch" was the one that detailed this coin? Maybe them all together?   |

Looks better at a distance. I hate that they started slabbing details coins.

I prefer the old flip return like they used to do, those slabs are a PITA to open. I think they also do it in hopes that the coin stays in a slab. At least with a key you know it's genuine!
