hi guys, I believe I have a George VI florin error coin, possibly struck thru grease on the Rx. The rim seems intact on the Rx. The weight of a florin of this era is 11.31g, my coin is 11.04g. Thoughts and opinions welcome.

I am certainly not an expert on these things but a lot of that irregularity looks more like what might be due to damage in circulation rather than being Struck Through Grease. The weight discrepancy might also be due to damage removing some metal? Being Struck Through Grease would not reduce the weight. Looks like it might have had a very hard knock or two during circulation?

Hard to say. I'm leaning towards acid that's dropped on the coin.

Not a struck through, that would not reduce the weight.
Looks like some sort of corrosion/ acid has eaten away
part of the coin reducing the weight.
Not an error, it is PMD.

Looks like the coin was damaged by acid.
