Looks cool! I might use this idea and make a Photoshop template so it can be used for any coin.

Topology, that is a cool idea, please show us later on what you came up with... I'll also be using this technique for other types of coin slabs, and it even works for single unslabbed coins. Up until now, I've been putting these displays together the hard way—creating the background texture, setting the pixel sizes, placing each slab manually, and then adding the text information below them. It might look simple, but without being a Photoshop expert, it's definitely not as easy as it seems. OH, and welcome to the CCF website !

Thanks, jbuck. Have another one on its way. I need to replace a few, including the 1881-S ($$$), which I should have never bought. It's a nicely conditioned coin, but I'm having trouble getting used to the holder...

this would be a great idea. I can think of many more coin sets I would like to see set up like that. Buff nickel and SLQ, for instance.

Just getting caught up on this thread... very cool! Seems like a great project for a cold, snowy weekend while simmering a pot of chilli. Oh wait, I live in Central Texas. Maybe a project for a hot summer weekend while smoking a brisket.

Either way CelticKnot, yes, it is a little fun project to do... Have fun, and don't forget to show us how your project is progressing.
