I agree, although the label doesn't look the same from the middle to the right. The color balance is different on the two pics.

When photographing raw coins, I always recommend a black background, but for whole slabs I personally prefer white as it shows the details of the slab itself.

Black works best for me. I always check my white balance when taking photos. Using diffused lighting is rather important as well.

No matter how the pictures are taken, I have always prefer final coin images surrounded by black backgrounds because of the contrast.
