Slerk, I got your PM. Thank you very much! Will be in touch soon. There is a post here about Russian Empire 50 kopeck note issued in late First World War and early Provisional Government. I think you are more qualified to reply? Same goes for nss-52. Jimjumper, I am looking forward to what you got! Hope Santa was awfully good to you, did he? Colhand1, some members are not skilled with photos or resizing then uploading to here. Please try to be understanding of them. At least, they did confirm the receipt! One member would not be home until next month. Knowing him, he will post with photos. That's why we have a deadline for everyone until 31 Jan 2026 to make sure everyone has a fair shake in this awesome event organised by our amazing Rrgoodie! & & Yep, Scopru, you are right! There are fascinatic presents this year! Will reply more tomorrow. I am exhausted from my a major errand.

Quote: hope to see an image or 2 @ Greasy I would love to, but I'm not that tech savory and as you know I don't own a cell phone. However when I do buy one I'll be posting/sharing many photos/coins with the forum. Carrigna asked Quote: Just curious as to why you need to put them in acetone bath when they are UNC? I don't know...I guess just a habit of mine...

Quote: Just curious as to why you need to put them in acetone bath when they are UNC? Just because a coin is uncirculated does not mean that it's ready to be archived in an album. I have coin with visible fingerprints in their original US mint set cellophane. A quick dip in acetone will remove latent but invisible fingerprints, sneeze marks, etc. that may not manifest themselves until it's too late to do anything about them.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

No I have not received my SS yet, but thats ok this is not about that. My SS recipient did receive his and did post on Dec. 17, he has also been on here several time and no comment. Quote: I received my gift but have not had time to take photos. Will try to do so in the next day or two but work retail so have little time atm. As you can see no mention of coins and what upsets me more is that there is not even a 'thank you' . Maybe he doesn't like Canadian coins, I can list what I sent but it did total more than $30 Canadian. This may get me kicked out of CCF but right now I don't care it has not been a good year, with the wife still in the hospital and will be for about another month and now this NOT even a "thank you" Sorry but I had to say something.

mcshilling I understand your pain Quote: As you can see no mention of coins and what upsets me more is that there is not even a 'thank you' This seems to be a generationl thing and many receive but do not even acknowledge the receipt of whatever it is that they have received. No you will not be suspended for this post in fact I am glad it is there as I feel it makes many a valid point. Happy New Year to all.
