Quote: Down to $81 overnight. Ouch. Quote: Okay, I must have had that backwards.
So, now we surge? I saw last night the U.S. dollar index and Crude Oil were both skyrocketing while silver and gold were both getting wrecked. So back to watching how that plays out and if it turns back around..

Well here's one thing I am certain of, the DOW is no longer anywhere near 50K In fact the entire market appears to have taken just a wee bit of a Blood Bath today... Except for oil that is, oil is doing very well.. Hmmm does anyone know if that "doom and gloom" thing I heard earlier has started yet? Asking for a friend. To paraphrase the famous Laurel and Hardy comedy team: "Well, here's another nice mess you've gotten me into!".

It's taken me decades to get to this point, but I've quit sweating most things like grocery prices, stocks, oil/gas prices. We're all in the same boat. It's nearly impossible to play stock market waves. I fill up two cars at a time using fuel points - usually at a hefty discount. Whether the price is $2 or $4 per gallon, I have to get it. I shop the weekly specials as much as I can, but the grocery bill is the grocery bill. I can't stress too much about what is going to happen tomorrow since there is little I can do about it. Right now, I'm just trying to figure out when and where to sell off my 90% silver ahead of retirement.

Quote: It's nearly impossible to play stock market waves. It is extremely challenging. Like betting against the casino, the house always win. The goal is to win a little more than you lose. That's trading philosophy. Quote: I fill up two cars at a time using fuel points - usually at a hefty discount. Lucky you, my wife hogs all the points and just fills her car, leaving me to fend for myself. Luckily I'm down to only 2 Jeeps now, from 3.. Quote: Right now, I'm just trying to figure out when and where to sell off my 90% silver ahead of retirement. Give it time, things will eventually settle out. It's crazy I was hearing a dealer say he couldn't get rid of his 90% at a discount under spot even. Everyone wants the 999 or Eagles. But if anyone is playing the long game on silver, and still buying now, then passing anything up under spot just doesn't seem right..

Quote: @ Marv65 it's okay buddy, anyone can see that you don't clearly understand how any of the markets really work. It's why you have to pay someone else to manage your money right? That's fine, nothing wrong with it, many people are like that.. But it is what it is and I won't judge you on it.. What's the matter Harry - didn't meant to ruffle your feathers. Funny how you had to come right back with a personal attack. That's ok, I can see through your BS and I just sit back and laugh..........

Oh hey Marv65 right on time as usual. I've been waiting for your daily gasoline pump price update. How is it going? And while your here, and since the day is already over, fill me in on whose predictions were wrong. If anyone's laughing at any BS it's me, at yours.. I was thinking you and I could start a new competing thread. We'll call it "is oil ready to hit $80 a barrel? Will it hit $100?"... It will be a blast ( no pun intended). What do you think? Or maybe "will oil hit $100 a barrel before Silver hits $100 an ounce?" Better?

Hey, Harry? As the originator of this thread, can I ask you to please tone down the personal attacks before it gets the whole thread shut down?

Oh boy now I'm really going to start a competing Oil Price thread. Draft of first post: Oil just hit $75.39 on COMEX and I filled up for around $3.01 a gallon at Sunoco slightly up from yesterday's price.
