Well the good news for Silver, for now at least, is that it's resumed it's prior sideways chop.. And it's gotten back above 2 separate trend lines. Bad news for crude oil is it crashed from a high of over $119.43 last night down to $83.50 and falling. Looks like Silver is gonna beat Oil today.

I'm not sure about sideways chop, but it looks like silver just got a nice bump up to $87. Let's see how long it lasts...

This sideways chop shown above.. $83 to $85 and back around 6 times total since this morning. With a probability of continuing, unless it can break out of this "range" and above $91 or below $78.. It did this same roughly $82 to $86 move almost all of last week...

Ding, ding, ding. End of round 1 for this week. I'm going to call the match today and declare Oil is the big loser today. Even though it ended the session aroaund a dollar higher than Silver, it still took the biggest loss for the day overall. Oil ended in the red while Silver ended in the green. To be continued.

Wonder if this has anything to do with the price of oil dropping? ---
France is sending warships to the Middle East as part of a European-led naval mission to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, a critical waterway that has been nearly shut down since a broader regional war broke out on February 28.

The parabolic run up in oil last night was nuts, hitting a high over $119 followed by a crash back down to a low of $81. Almost $40 drop. Similar to the recent Silver crash. Oil hovering around $88 in after hours now.
The U.S. dollar index pulled back as well. Both events created a tailwind for Silver and Gold today.
Silver touched $88 in after hours trading and its around $87 now. Gold is hanging in and hovering around $5150.

Quote: Are we going to start talking about the oil/silver ratio? LOL They are about the same price right now.. But to me it's more about the effect it's having on metals. Silver is showing sensitivity to Oil right now, much the same way it reacts to the strength of the U.S. dollar. Stronger dollar / weaker metals and vice versa.

Nice to see Silver pushing up against the upper range instead of the lower range. Now that the right signals started being telegraphed Sunday into Monday. We should see e a nice relief rally once cooler heads prevail.
