Oil and the Dollar strength fading. Silver pushing to get above $90. With $92-$93 as next support Gold up almost $140 an ounce to $5240.

Looks like ~$88 will do for the day. But the overnight?

The whole Silver vs. Oil and the U.S. Dollar dynamic is still playing out. We saw this yesterday when Oil crashed below $80 and down to $78 a barrel while Silver was pushing over $90. As soon as Oil and the Dollar caught a big bounce back up to $88, silver immediately ducked for cover back down to $87. The good news for Silver is that it's maintained above trend lines for 2 weeks now though it came dangerously close to breaking below support a couple times, especially on Sunday night. So what to look for today? Hope for Oil and Dollar to continue sideways to down. Silver to fall back a little and build up some momentum. If Oil and the Dollar could somehow fall back closer to pre Iran levels, and no more bad news or shenanigans occur, then silver could continue to try to push above $90 and try to get to the next support. Keep in mind that the CPI Report is coming out and could throw a wrench into the works.

Modest drop for silver, but not as much as I anticipated. Doing the wiggle now.

The pullback started last night when Silver was at $88-$89. Silver doesn't have a lot more room to back up right here without losing an upward trend line ((the path to higher silver). Right now it already backed up to it at the opening bell when it touched $85. Next step, is for Silver to wiggle sideways here without breaking any lower. Build up some momentum while waiting for an opportunity (Oil and Dollar to fall back more) for Silver to push back up. But you never know what could happen next so wait and see.

Neither the Dollar nor Oil is backing off, rather they're forming a tight wedge as they move sideways. Silver backing up with it's back to the wall. Like watching a game of chicken with less than 2 hours to go in the RTH. Who breaks first?

Well it does look like we'll end the RTH session today with a draw. Neither broke, in fact they're both curling northward at this moment. Crazy times indeed. Still a couple hours left in extended hour's trading, before the overnight session starts (technically the beginning of tomorrow's session).. But today looks to be ending in a draw.
