*sigh*
More instability in the Middle East, resulting in higher oil prices and lower silver prices.

More instability in the Middle East, resulting in higher oil prices and lower silver prices. Yup, that's exactly it. The whole thing is extremely disheartening, to put it mildly. It's not looking like anything is going to improve anytime soon. Quite the opposite actually. I can't find anything else to hang my hat on that could potentially turn things around. That window may be closing. And gone with it is my optimism... Bummer

I took a road trip this weekend. Worth the expense. At least my living room is still here.

That sounds plausible.

Quote: The U.S. dollar however did break it's 2 month uptrend last week with 5 continuous down day's. In fact it broke below support on Wednesday. Something to watch closely. Weaker dollar is a tailwind for Silver and Gold. Silver is getting a little boost early this morning from the continued roll over and down trend in the U.S. Dollar index. Silver hit $78.28 at 5am and is currently over $77 Allow me to entertain you with my daily chart below showing the Dollar fell and broke through the first trend line of support last Wednesday, on news of the cease fire. This trend was rising since right before the start of the war. As when Silver started going lower And overnight it has returned to it's prior downtrend line that was in place from November to the start of the war. So in other words the U.S. Dollar is experiencing a little bit of a crash. That's Good for Silver.

Gold- it's important to note that Gold isn't participating as much as Silver is. Looking at my chart below you can see Gold has Not been able to break above $4800 and hold it. See the red line. $4800 appears to be a very tough ceiling to break through. Counting the dots you see that Gold bumped up a and got rejected 6 out of the last 9 trading day's. Not even the news of the cease-fire helped. This appears to be a top for Gold, at this moment in time, and many analysts and trader's have been pointing this out recently as well. A correction may be coming soon for Gold, with a projected downside target around $3500. What does this mean for Silver? Although Silver has been chopping slightly upwards and to the right, (scroll up to see my chart) it's not flat like Gold. Still the upside is capped and $80-$82 range could be the top of the range before it reverses and heads lower again. If it even makes it to $82. Silver also tends to follow Gold, so if Gold runs out of steam and crashes it will likely take Silver down with it. When will Gold fall? Will Silver hit $80-$82 before that? That's the question and what to be on the look out for in the coming day's or weeks.

Well, gold is back above $4800 and silver is now above $79, so I guess we'll just have to keep our fingers crossed and hope they stay up.

Watching if Gold can hold above the $4800 line it's $4831 now. And Silver can touch $80 -so far $79.53 is the high today.

Maybe the night crew will push it into the 80s.
