I took profits early this morning. Today is an Op Ex day and the Market Maker's appeared to have the price pinned down for the day anyway. So I wasn't expecting much of a change today. Haven't even watched too much after I noticed that. Besides I wouldn't risk it over the long weekend, there's no telling what could happen between now and Tuesday.. I'll look for a new entry next week.

Despite running up towards $80 and back down, not much has changed for us over the long weekend.

Quote:Despite running up towards $80 and back down, not much has changed for us over the long weekend. Silver was filled with optimism on the COMEX open Sunday night. Silver went up. Those hopes were dashed on Monday night. Silver went back down. I'm sitting on hands and on the sidelines until it makes up it's mind.

Silver has been coiling up like a spring, moving in a tighter and tighter range since dawn.. Meanwhile Gold is sinking.. I think we're gonna see a break in one direction or another soon.

Looks like the overnight wrecking-crew did their damage. They got it down $73, while morning crew is pushing it towards $75.

Gold is bouncing on it's key Support Level level. But it's on the verge of falling through it. Silver is currently sitting on a key Support Level too, but if Gold drags it down below $72 we'll be in the $60's in no time. Still sitting on hands on the sidelines watching what happens next.

Looks like silver is seeking sea level. Big drop to ~$72 overnight, now back in the ~$73 with some sideways chop.

Overnight Gold broke below support and Silver touched $72. Yields up, oil up, dollar up, metals down, shots fired in a so called cease-fire, all of this is a toxic brew. Pick any of the above reasons to blame for why Silver isn't at $90 right now, but I digress. In times like this where overnight support levels get breached or tagged, the daytime trading tends to go back to retest those levels and see if it holds. If you're a Silver bull then pray that if we retest $72 today that it holds. That's all for now.
