Quote: You need to change the title of the thread-from hit $50 to hit $60. Yeah, I thought of that actually. Too late now, though! And silver is just a cent or two under $59 as I type this. Can't wait to see what the morning brings!

Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

Quote: Can't wait to see what the morning brings morning brought a slam, just after midnight. both metals. big surprise. the fed cockroaches poured $25B of 'liquidity' into the banking system over the weekend. "overnight repo". same thing they did around halloween. funny how we never see big slams upward, always down. silver was just below $59 at midnight. it was knocked down a full dollar or more, but it'll rebound.

It will be up and down all month as they try to fill all the deliveries due on COMEX. There are some bankers with wet pants right now.

Possibly, as @Hondo Boguss has suggested, there may be more title changes as time goes by. It is quite an interesting show we have here. I'm glad that I didn't sell short.

Not sure, but I doubt we will ever see it below $50 again.

Meanwhile, in the for sale section, we have a member selling multiple lots of silver at 48/oz. I personally think 50 is the floor (support) because of the double bounce off of 50 and it is now a new psychological barrier. Once silver touches 60-61, I think it will crawl back to mid 50s rather quickly and then do a wait and see, trading sideways for a bit.

silver has been stomped down all day. gold, too. this is frustrating beyond words.
silver... we all know what silver should be doing, what it's supposed to be doing by now, but these near-daily stomps & slams makes it very difficult to prognosticate. the best we can do is... hold steady. a part of me really wants to vent, but this isn't the place for that. the other part of me wants to say,
"silver, when it finally turns loose, is gonna rocket through the $60-range quickly",
but the manipulations aren't just difficult to get past, they are infuriating, for many reasons. silver should be well past the $100-mark by now.
hurry up and break, you stupid, junk paper system!!

I would not say that. Yes, it was zig-zaggy this morning, but it has been sticking close the $58 line for most of they afternoon.

on december 3rd the treasury repurchased $12.5B in distressed treasury bonds. I wonder what time of the day that happened.
so, that's a pair of emergency interventions in the span of a few days.
at just after midnight december 4-- two hours ago as I post this-- silver dumped another dollar. gold took a hit, too. both are trying to rebound.
silver is going to achieve $60, probably very soon. there's a lot of pressure building and things are starting to break.
