Last night, just around midnight EDT, it hit $53.73 before rapidly dropping back down to $51.30 an hour or so later. A whole lotta weirdness going on...

Quote: A whole lotta weirdness going on. hold that thought... Quote: A sudden and aggressive price slam occurred starting at roughly 1:20 AM New York time. This occurred well outside of regular trading hours, when most traders were asleep and liquidity was very thin. At that moment, at least 20,000 silver futures contracts (aka "paper silver") were dumped onto the market. This triggered a sharp sell-off that drove the price below the key $50 level, with silver sinking as low as $48.75 within just one hour. That volume of contracts represents 100 million troy ounces of silver, or nearly 12% of global annual production... a deliberate price suppression effort orchestrated by major bullion banks. there it is, I found the answer to the question that I posted in the gold thread earlier. it is as I suspected. Quote: The bankster smack down is losing steam. yes it is. equivalent of silver giving jamie dimon the finger? Quote: Next stop $60.00. no doubt silver will go there, but I think we're going to see it go much much farther. HODL.

Looks like silver has gone above $53 at least 3 times this morning, although it is currently sitting just below it at $52.91. Methinks this rally still has a ways to go before (maybe?) breaking.

silver has a very long way to go. sure, it will probably correct itself, and that correction could be significant, and it could last a short while, but silver is far from finished. the opinion here at FPS is that silver is in the very beginnings of a long-term bull market and we will eventually see triple digit silver. if you've stacked silver over the years, you won't be disappointed. your day is coming. this is not like 1980 or 2011. there wasn't runaway global debt then. a number of other things figure into it, but the bottom line is this: don't stop stacking silver. the day will come when $53oz silver will seem like a bargain. keep stacking. I know, $53 silver is much different than $23 or $33 silver. I get it. I'm in that boat, too. cut way back if necessary, but don't stop. remain bullish, remain optimistic, and keep stacking, even if you only get 1 extra ounce per month. i'll explain my own position better as we move through what remains of 2025. my explaining will likely cross over through the found money thread and the 'which way for gold' thread. HODL. this is very exciting.

It does takes some sting out of the past few years of Mint purchases.
