My aunt has six of these 1979 1-ounce South African Krugerrands. From what I read, the value of a South African Krugerrand should be right around the spot price of one ounce of gold. As of this writing, that's $4,143.90.
Assuming that the price of gold holds steady at $4,143.90 per ounce, can I expect a dealer to pay slightly less than this for a Krugerrand (and charge slightly more to those who want to buy a Krugerrand)?
Can I get a better price if I sell all six of these Krugerrands to the same gold dealer, or do dealers not provide a better price for larger transactions?
