Heading to be with silver sitting at $90.76 according to APMEX.

I wonder why APMEX is always higher in posting the prices of metals? KITCO has silver at $89.13

Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

barryg that's quite the stack congrats for having the foresight to start accumulating and congrats for having the fortitude to hold it.

All of the physical silver I own today was bought around the same time as yours. Back when silver was ranging from around $16 to $22 an ounce. I have pounds of it, not as much as you though. But a lot of it is numismatc. No plan on ever selling those.

The only buying/selling I'm doing right now, and having a ton of fun with, is day trading the paper stuff: silver, gold, miners, ETF's, other precious metals and rare earth stuff thru my Roth IRA whenever I get a break at work.

I've wondered that, too.

$91.22 an ounce at 12:30 am EST, on JM Bullion

Just bonkers

$100 next? All the talk we heard about $130 doesn't seem so far fetched now, WoW.

over $90 for now. it didn't take long to go from $80 to $90... maybe it won't take long to go from $90 to $100, at the rate it's moving. if someone would have told me a year ago that silver would be at $100 after another 12 months I would have laughed.

edit, minutes later:

..slipped below $90 while I was typing.. it seems to be generally dancing around the $90-mark.

Back over $90 (AUD$134 for me) again. Time to amend the title.
