Quote: The $10K is on their purchases. It is a very oddly worded message and is being interpreted incorrectly. That is true, but the rest of the letter makes it clear that demand is also surging: Quote: When you place an order, you will see an estimated ship date (ESD) that reflects our current ability to ship. Typically we add one business day, but due to volumes we are now adding 4 business days until further notice. We were about to lower the additional days until the increased surge in demand this week. Our Minting teams have narrowed the product assortment we are focused on to get core products in-stock; we have identified 31 core production silver products and currently have 21 of these in-stock, up from sub 15 a few days ago; we expect to have the majority in-stock by this weekend, unless demand increases further; additionally, we have turned the majority off pre-sales unless we feel we can ship the product within 2 weeks.

Quote: Is anyone here buying at current prices? I'm only turning in my street-found money for metals. there are a few things i'd like to get, for the official collection, but they're expensive and always have been. I'm developing a plan to get them, but not pushing it. but as far as buying more just to get more, because of FOMO, no... I'm content with my meager holdings. I'm not fearing buying at a peak and the price crashing. the money that I am making now (as painter/landscaper) is not for coins or bullion. it's needed in other areas of life. if I were making much more money than I currently am, I would be buying more silver (and gold). there is much more upside coming.

i just got onto APMEX to chat with a sales rep. "typically replies within 45 minutes". that's not 'typical'. 'typical' is someone chatting almost instantly. I guess the new 'typical' is 'not getting an answer right away'. glad I'm not in a hurry. silver looks like exactly where it was yesterday before sinking back to $87. it's well over $91, pushing toward $92. i noticed APMEX is selling $1 face 90% silver dimes & quarters for nearly $80. wow. I bought several rolls of dimes 10-15 years ago for about that.

Quote: Yep, definitely seems to be on the upswing again! For now... Indeed. Quote: Silver looks to be back above $93 again. Hovering over $92 now on KITCO. $92.92 on APMEX.

About 3 months ago, I ordered a $500 box of half dollars from my bank. I have yet to go through them. Last time I scored 12 40%, and 2 90%. If you would have asked me 3 years ago if silver will hit $100/oz., I would have said, "yeah, sure". Sarcastically of course!

the APMEX CEO's letter has been edited, omitting that part about the $10K minimum, and a few other sentences.

Quote: A pullback and bit of a breather is a good thing. Needs to set a base to continue upward. Things that go straight up also go straight down. Silver has closed the trading week in the Green for 8 weeks in a row, since last week of November. The prior streak of weeks closed in the Green lasted around 10 weeks in a row. In between these 2 winning streaks there was about a month of sideways chop before continuation. A pullback and consolidation is coming due and would be good. I never imagined I would see this. Crazy time to be alive for sure.

Silver may not be going down anytime soon: The new fast charging Electric Vehicle batteries are requiring 5 grams of silver per cell, which equates to about 2 1/2 pounds of silver per battery.
