Quote: I would love to be able to do something like this but I move too much, a lot more than you do.
Thanks everyone. To a certain extent, maybe some of what I do does seem a bit amateurish. There are several channels I do enjoy watching. And a few of these creators I think might even read this, that's fine. What I tend to dislike is the videos they put up can seem a little boring to watch. Not up listen to, but to watch. The screen O matic thing where they just show a computer screen, or maybe just show images. I like something more of an active presentation, where you're holding a coin in your hand and turning it over, or showing a box or COA. "Here, let me show you what this all looks like", not just a couple pictures. Explain what's special about a set and what's not. The jerkiness comes from opening up a box or taking out a coin one handed. But, I haven't had to invest in anything to do what I'm doing, and I enjoy sharing the sets I have and what I know about them.
I went ahead and did a video concerning the different finishes. I see one video was recently posted about this topic. This is just my own take on it and hopefully with a few demonstrations that will help visualize the differences.
Quote: nice video - but not a fan of colorized ASE
Thanks. ME either! It was a bit of a leap to get it. I've bought them cheap and blasted off the decal or paint it whatever they use. But since the Perth Mint did it, I went ahead and got it. Anything by a government mint with an ASE is what I've looked for. Now maybe I have them all? Always looking. The idea on getting the coin and currency sets of course came from here. Still not sure what to do about the dollar, I was trying some more to get it back where it belongs. No go.
Quote: Was the 2000 Colorized version from the Perth Mint an official US Mint collaboration?
That I highly doubt. But the Perth Mint obviously bought them from the Mint. Or maybe an authorized purchaser. Either way, if it's got an ASE in it and was issued by either the US or a foreign mint, I want it. Collaborations were few. I don't think any of the RM releases were actual collaborations. None with an ASE in it anyways.
