I would like to identify it using your help. I am pretty sure it is Roman. The wt is 2.75 gr. The diameter averages at 18.31mm. Your help is much appreciated. Report this Post to the Staff

Dowhat Pillar of the Community United States 876 Posts	Posted 10/23/2025 2:30 pm The only thing I found similar is an Aureus Tiberius 27BC-395. Inscriptions match but the weight is way off. Should be 7.7g., dia. 19.5. The damaged area is discolored. The coin I mentioned here is cold. I think this is a fake. Report this Post to the Staff

The silver version is the famous Jesus era tribute penny. So these have that worth as silver coins and there would be no reason to make a fake gold one this light unless it was just for fun. If you are a christian you might give it to your church.
