Any ideas on this one? The reverse is the standard reverse for a 1974 Dominican peso, the obverse looks like a 1874 Swiss shooting medal. the diameter is correct for a peso (38mm) but the weight is light (24.7g). It appears to be silver. Chinese fantasy coin?

I would say it's a Chinese fantasy coin. When I was on a tour of China a few years ago the tour guide would stop at various stores and I saw lots of fantasy coins. I remember one that had a 1986 reverse showing Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson (from a Turks & Caicos Islands crown or similar) paired with a Queen Victoria obverse!

My initial thought too. Is a strong magnet attracted to it? If not, what is the specific gravity?

For the record, here are the two coins that have been fused together to make this frankencoin:

Dominican Republic peso 1974: https://en.numista.com/18470
St Gallen shooting thaler 1874: https://en.numista.com/17142

The Chinese are very good at making coins that might "look silvery" in-hand, but contain zero silver. Usually it's a nickel-brass alloy, and usually it turns out slightly yellowish when photographed.
