It is JBuck! I have been able to make out the word Committee and the word stead, I cannot tell it home is in front of the word stead.

Is it uniface? I wonder if the -stead word could be "farmstead" or "Hempstead" (for Hempstead County). Could it be a property boundary marker?

@fortcollins, no sir, not uniface. There is something on the reverse but because it is so corroded with hard packed surface gunk it is not descernable.
