I have generally been happy with PCGS grading, but I just received banknotes back from PCGS after a four month wait that have me simply stunned. I expected at least an AU50 grade, but was shocked to see just VF30.
My banknote:
https://www.pcgs.com/banknotes/cert/54152107The banknote has no creases and only mild teller flicks. No folds, and not pressed or modified.

I went searching on PCGS to find another VF30 banknote of the same type, and found this one. It has creases, folds, dirt, ink, and brown stains, yet also received VF30.

A VF30 PCGS grade is just Fine+ under ANDA, which is a very low grade.
So now I'll have to pay to get it regraded and wait another four months. Did the grader's dog die on the day they graded the banknote? There's meant to be quality control in the grading, but it doesn't seem to be working.
EDIT: I just noticed I put this thread in the coins section by mistake. Mods, please move the thread to banknotes. Thank you.
