I don't see a 'Micro D Left of the Omega privy, but I do see one far under the date - maybe the offender that left the print had that tiny D imprinted into his finger (thumb?)

These Omega pennies will also be reviewed by Certified Acceptance Corporation (CAC) to confirm their superior quality and eye appeal.

I didn't see a CAC sticker on any of them. Did CAC say, nope they are all garbage, we're not putting our sticker on them and damage our reputation and integrity.

Here's part of an email that I received from Stack's Bowers:
As a special offer to winning bidders, we will—upon request—submit your winning coins to CAC at no additional cost. CAC has a strong track record of certifying coins that are highly desirable to collectors and that often command premium prices when resold. Once your invoice is paid, simply send an email to clientservices@stacksbowers.com or call 800-458-4646 and ask for client services to begin the process.

I think the whole CAC/4th party grading thing is stupid. However, if I'm able to get a set, I'll submit it since it's free.

That "CAC on request" email doesn't jibe with "will be reviewed by CAC" in the original announcement.

A lot of them have fingerprints, oh my.
After viewing most of the lots (determining on which lot to bid on) seems that only the last few lots had fingerprints on them and IMO lot #231 the Philly cent should have been graded UNC- Details because it (obverse) sure looks wiped to me and no water spots to boot (all other zinc cents have water spots)....check it out...

Well, Dearborn, ...It seems that there was little aforethought in this Last Cent /232/ Omega Privy project. You would think that the mint director would have gotten input from collectors, at least someone knowledgeable ...

...Minting these last 232 in zinc was a big mistake, in my humble opinion. These "special" edition coins should have been 95% copper, at the very least.

...Then, the mint should have stamped out however many Zincolns, making them available to regular collectors ...

...just look at the surface condition & handling of these "last 232", ... the spotting, finger-printing, etc. ...good grief! ... folks shucking out tens - to - hundreds of thousands of dollars, & who knows what these coins will look like in a few years?...

Lots with the highest grades are commanding big bucks; mediocre grades start at $26K

Quote:
Set #212 of 232, corresponding to 2005. Included are:
2025 24 Karat Gold Cent, Omega Privy Mark, MS-69 (PCGS)
2025 Circulating Cent, Omega Privy Mark, MS-65 RD (PCGS)
2025-D Circulating Cent, Omega Privy Mark, MS-67 RD (PCGS)

Current bid on the above is $50K. . .

149 lots are already $30K or more.

High prices for coins that will rot on their own.
