Hurray for movement again! Way to go, hokiefan and SchwarzerEinser! Very beautiful examples for both 1931 and 1930.

Thanks, CollegeBarbers and NumisRob! And, great notes, NumisRob! For 1930 I have a Japan 10 yen note, P-40. It is not dated, but is a one-year issue. It features a portrait of Wake no Kiyomaro on the face. He was a high-ranking official who lived during the 8th century. The reverse features a shrine honoring him.

Beautiful notes guys! Great to see rarities from Spain, England & Japan! & it is nice to see this thread humming back to life along again as well! Anyway, I have a couple from 1929. First up is this 20 Marks P-181a from Germany https://en.numista.com/204645The second example is this P-27 100 Dinara from Yugoslavia which was a recent pick-up (I forgot about) & posted last night in the "latest acquisition" thread: https://en.numista.com/206245Both notes are quite inexpensive in UNC yet large & attractive designs. IMO, I feel they're a great entry point for a collector who may be hesitant about what he/she wishes to acquire since they don't require a big investment.

Nice notes walk2dwater, NumisRob and SchwarzerEinser! I particularly like the Yugoslavia and Algeria notes - they are beautiful. For 1929, I'll make it a trio of these shared as it's my only 1929 note. Another German 20 reichsmark note, P-181a. It features a portrait on the face of Werner von Siemens, the founder of the electrical and telecommunications conglomerate Siemens.

nice! Have I mentioned that I collect all combinations of series letters and underprint letters (the big letters on the front side in the background beneath the word "Reichsbankdirektorium") for the two Reichsmark series? I've actually completed the 1929 20-mark notes. There are even a few rarer combinations.

Wonderful set, SchwarzerEinser! 1928 - Spain 100 pesetas, showing the writer Cervantes and the Cervantes Monument in Madrid. The reverse shows the painting "Encounter of the Dukes by Don Quixote", painted by Luis Menendez Pidal in 1892.:

Care to elaborate on which are the tougher underprint/prefix combos? Fantastic example from Algeria BTW! Quote: For 1929, I'll make it a trio of these shared as it's my only 1929 note. Great example from Spain Rob & here's another from Spain, P-75b 50 Pesetas: https://en.numista.com/201925-Great adds guys!

Here is a second example of the 50-peseta note, though not as nice as walk2dwater's! These notes show the Spanish painter Velázquez and Prado Art Gallery on the front, and his famous painting The Surrender of Breda on the reverse:

Hey, it looks like Spain is stealing the show in the late 1920s! Very beautiful notes! I'd love to dive into that area in UNC as well, but at the moment I still have too many other collecting priorities. Quote: Care to elaborate on which are the tougher underprint/prefix combos? Sure, usually there were about 1 to 8 million notes issued per combo. But these are the tougher ones: prefix F-K with letter G (only about 225k per combo), and prefix Q-U with letter F (about 390k per combo) Here is my 1928 note: France - P# 73d - 10 Francs 1928 (PMG 67 EPQ)

Quote: Man, (Hokie) that note looks familiar! Gee, I wonder why, walk2dwater? And what a coincidence, the serial number is very close to the one you shared! There may be another one or two coming from me which will give you a bit of dejà vu ... Great notes SchwarzerEinser, walk2dwater and NumisRob!

For 1928, I have a 25 latu note from Latvia, P-18. The face features a portrait of Krisjanis Valdemars (1825-1891), an influential educator, economist, and politician.
