Purchased this coin raw, and do not know a lot about wheat cents, but heard that these are counterfeited a lot. Would appreciate your thoughts on whether this coin is genuine, and if so, your thoughts on whether it has any problems and finally your thoughts on grade. Many thanks!

I'll let more experienced members help you on authenticity. Looks real to me, but I am not an expert. For the grade, I'll say VF.

Seller's photos are dark so I used an image editor to lighten the coin in order to see the coin features better until I have it in hand and can photograph it.

A risky coin to purchase raw for sure. Looks like it could be a match for the rotated CW pics that Marve posted. Hard to tell but is there a small die crack at K-5 from the bust to the rim? Depending on the die used, some genuine ones exhibit this die crack.

Looks genuine, EF-40, the reverse is very strong.

Looks much better now.

Verdi-care should improve it, but I would follow the polarity ladder first.
