Looking through Zeno, there were some similarities to half paisas of Islam Shah Suri of the Dehli Sultanate, but nothing that might be a match that I saw. So looking through the half paisas of Islam Shah Suri in Goron/Goenka there is one that is very close, accounting for differing dies and striking positions on the flan. This is G/G D1002, Kalpi mint, reported for the date of 957 which appears on this coin. Unfortunately I could not find a photo of this coin in Zeno or with a Google search, so am unable to share a photo. However, I think this is a good attribution.

G/G also references this coin as R 1736 and NW 1359-60. R refers to Rajgor, Standard Catalogue of Sultanate Coins of India and NW refers to Nelson Wright, The Coinage and Metrology of the Sultans of Dehli. Perhaps others of our members have these references and can check the photos there and render an opinion.

Thanks for your excellent work seeker55.

I thought the inscriptions on the coin were clear enough that someone would be able to steer me in the right direction.
