Good time to have a hard money pastor happy to receive the tithe in junk. Sure, it won't show up in the year-end compilation of donations; still, it strikes me as win/win.

Silver has finished the week at the incredible price of $67.20, depending on who you believe. Asian markets will wake up tomorrow at 1700 hr's CST and they veer toward the excitable so we might just see $68 silver by the time COMEX opens its doors. The rush to sell at these prices, I'd bet, is matched by the rush to go hands on to physical with the Bull showing no desire to even slow let alone stop.
At this point its hard to see much of a pull back and the only thing slowing things down is the stomping to sell. The white metal rose 19% in Nov. alone and over 100% in 2025 so far while stocks were either flat or a little under water for Nov. . A 19% gain in one month doesn't sound like a hedge to me ; It sure sounds like a pure investment and as a group PMs had a hell of a year in 2025. Its been raging ever since it hit $50 an oz.

Youtube coin dealers are stating they are starting to see more buyers than sellers. The public is not awake yet so we are still early in the cycle.

I am in big metro area with a large jewelry district. Here is what I gathered. 1) Dealer says everybody selling gold and silver. His front case was loaded with silver coins and he did not have time to sort, bag and get rid of them. 2) At least for gold transactions, cash may be a thing of the past. Dealers don't want the risk of keeping large amounts of cash and they consider it a nuisance. 3) And even with his scales and XRF ray gun, he stills gets scammed by counterfeits.

Couldn't care less about making a profit.
When I started into ASW during the Hunt Brothers attempt to corner the market, I was buying silver coins at around $6 US per ounce. that was a very long time ago, before the price started to climb to artificially high levels. The the crash came. Then, I couldn't care less, and I still don't. I sold some ASW silver with no extra numismatic value along the way, but that was to fund purchases of coins with predominately numismatic value, primarily ancient coins in all three metals.
Almost all of my World junk silver was acquired as collateral in bulk purchases, and thus considered that the junk silver was acquired for free. Total ASW accumulation over that time around 5 Kg.
Have I made significant paper? profit with the ancients? Again, I couldn't care less. I have been into World coins of all ages all cultures, but mainly into ancients, and medieval, for more than 50 years.

So I ventured into my LCS for the first time in a very long time Friday, just to see how the surge in silver pricing was affecting their store traffic. Silver at $67.20/oz or 47X face value, and my LCS is only paying 35X face. I was a bit surprised & confused. I was shocked to see people in line to sell at this low-ball offer. Is this standard, or just an anomaly?
