Jim from southwest Pennsylvania (USA) - I joined today to post a note to a thread about an error note I recently acquired (link to that post below if interested).
I have been collecting US Paper currency for about 15 years now, but up until recently my focus was on acquiring National Bank notes from a particular charter in the Pittsburgh region (I managed to acquire 7 of the 15 possible types/denominations from this bank, including an 1882 $5 Brown Back (40VF EPQ)). The remaining notes may never be possible to obtain, although I know of two for sure that are out there somewhere in private collections (based on aucution results over the past decade).
As noted above regarding why I joined, I've recently shifted my focus almost exclusively to US paper money error notes.
Below is a link to my error note collection under my ANA profile. The collection is titled "The Anatomy of U.S. Error Notes: A BEP Production Stage Collection"
