Hi everyone this is Matt again
does anyone know where this silver coin came from ?
it says on it lud.xvi.dg.fr. et nav.rex on the front and on the back it says sit nomen domini l benedictum and is from 1785 and does anyone know how much silver is in it ?
and I can't crop these photos

France. In the future, please provide the weight and dimensions of any coin you ask about.

You are using a Canon PowerShot SX500 IS. You can crop images directly on the camera after they have been taken. In playback mode, go to the menu, select the [Cropping] option, and use the zoom lever to resize the frame and the arrow keys to move it. You can save the cropped image as a new, separate file, keeping the original image intact.

If you have already downloaded these to a computer, then use the Photo software to crop.

Please learn to crop your images.

so your coin is from France dated 1785 (1 Ecu - Louis XVI)
Mint mark 'L' the mint mark is on the reverse at the bottom - (by the hole in the coin) between "DOMINI and BENEDICTUM"
