And stamps too.

The Seller's name is avantigalleri. Supposedly, it has 100% feedback from 3,395 transactions, 739 sold items and an impressive 3,900 followers. But if you click on the feedback, less than a handful of sales appear.

And if you look at the pending coin auctions, every auction has double digit watchers, as many as 161 in one case.

I suppose this could be money laundering, but with no reported sales it seems singularly unsuccessful.

I would report it, but based on previous reports ebay does not really care about the bidding community.

Stay safe everyone.

Quite a few " no mint mark L on rim" coins for $1500. There are worse offenders on ebay - at least they're not peddling fakes.

It is not a crime to have high asking prices. But yeah, buyer beware.

So all the feedback is as a buyer, not a seller. Look at the verbiage in the feedback. Same exact wording given by many, many different "sellers". Bots?

The difference between warning the public and defaming someone can sometimes be a bit blurry, but calling someone a "scammer" because he asks too much for his common coins may be more to one side than you intended.

Maybe the reason he only has feedback on 4 sales is because no one is willing to pay his correctly noted outrageous prices for common coins?

There is nothing illegal, (maybe unethical) about the sellers listings.
Unless he is asking more than $2500.00 for a raw coin, it is not against ebay's policy.

The AI no longer finds anything wrong with those listings.

I'm cognizant of defamation - my day job is lawyer - but there is no benign explanation for a seller advertising common US coins that are missing a mint mark of L on the rim.
