I've written before about the United States ("US") commemorative coins that marked the 100th Anniversary of the American Legion (see:
2019 American Legion Centennial - Part I / In Congress.
I've also picked up a non-US Mint (but licensed) commemorative medal for the anniversary:

There were many medals/challenge coins issued for the American Legion Centennial back in 2019 - many Legion Posts across the US issued a piece. A collector could spend lots of time (and money!) tracking them all down - I'm not such a collector. Considering the geographic roots of the American Legion (Paris, France), I did take the plunge on the medal issued by the American Legion's Department of France. (The Department of France's medal was first proposed in 2016 by Nola Maloney of the American Legion National Executive Committee.)
Net proceeds from the sale of the Department's medal for the organization's Centennial were intended to help defray Centennial celebration expenses in France. The medal was available for purchase in Europe as well as stateside; in the US it sold for $10 per medal plus shipping - Standard shipping was $2 per medal, Priority was $13 per medal.
The obverse of the medal presents the Eiffel Tower superimposed above the American Legion's Centennial logo; the obverse features an added blue background. The reverse presents the emblems of the American Legion Auxiliary, the Sons of The American Legion, the Legion Riders and The American Legion; they represent the four American Legion Family groups.
