RedRaider Pillar of the Community United States 1018 Posts	Posted 01/30/2026 12:19 pm All Indian Head cents after 1864 have the L. There is ZERO significance of any other date having it..they all do. They changed the design in 1864 to include the L and it was used until the series ended. That is why it is a variant in 1864 only. Report this Post to the Staff
