Hi everyone
I wondered if I could please ask for some help with identifying this coin? (see images)

I've researched a fair bit online, and I'm still stumped overall - I think it is a Spanish coin from Philip IV's reign in the 1600s - a Maravedis coin. It weighs around 3g.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

@ock, thx for posting such an interesting piece. I agree that it has some characteristics of a Spanish 4 Maravedis dated 1618 (e.g. https://en.numista.com/26796). However, I think the design differences can at least partially be accounted for if it was restruck and redenominated. An example with clearer counterstamps can be found here:

I'm interested to see what others think.

I'm thinking like spence. Countermarked 1650s 4 maravedis of Philip III (1618).

Countermark is something like this one, not quite the same: https://en.numista.com/89614

Added: this mark might be closer to yours: https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=13954043

Many thanks to you both for your replies, and helpful links.

I did notice the '1618', as well as what looks maybe like 1659 on the coin, which puzzled me - but it makes sense now that you say it's been Countermarked.
