Sorry to be the one to break bad news - but this coin is harshly cleaned, scrubbed really.
It has zero remaining numismatic premium and its only value is the worth of the silver it contains.

It is a first year Barber in AU - Harshly cleaned condition. It has more value than melt. Probably worth $100-200 USD

With a harshly cleaned coin such as this it is basically worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. I can't imagine much interest in it from a collectors standpoint. I would concur with it being bullion value up to perhaps $100 as a hole filler. The cleaning is a real shame on an otherwise better grade coin.

Despite the serious surface damage, this coin definitely has numismatic value. The details are sharp. I concur with others that a baseline value of $100 is reasonable.

Despite the harsh cleaning, it is a nice looking coin.

Quote: I've looked around and prices vary from $30 up to $50,000 At a little under a Million minted somebody will want it as a hole filler. But you are looking way more towards the $30 end instead of the $50,000 top! (Don't know where $50,000 even came from)

As earlier, a coin to be valued,if you may please. the photos in the previous post were terrible and the coin looks badly cleaned but this isn't the case. it has however been soaked in acetone to remove any potential surface scum. And any other marks are ware and tear etc.

This is the same coin from the other post, just with different pictures. My assessment still stands as AU - Details Cleaned.

From these pics I'm more inclined to grade it as XF details- cleaned. Perhaps carried as a pocket piece for a while may make the hairlines across the devices look a little more eye appealing. Either way it will always be a details- cleaned coin.
