Thoughts about the recent spike of Spot prices: If the Government enacted a law like FDR did with the "Gold Reserve Act of 1934" today, would you surrender your Silver or Gold collection or hide it from law?

No question is Dumb, Great topic, History has been Known to repeat itself. While I believe in Todays society America's well being is stronger, History shows when FDR instituted the Gold Reserve Act of 1934, All Gold was to be handed in. Was it? Fast forward to Today's largest Auction houses, They Show Gold pieces that were apparently Not handed in, How can that be? This Should indicate the direction Some people Might consider, I mean IF not all the Gold was handed in Then, History May Repeat itself ? Should things go full crazo....Just my opinion.

Sometimes I forget where my car fob is, so.... it's likely I don't know exactly how much silver & gold I have or where I may have hidden it in my house. I'm an old man, what will they do.... take me to jail due to my absent mindedness?

Thanks M.D.! Just thought I would share a question that I had when I was discussing Bullion prices when confidence in the Banking System drops.

What would Uncle Sam hope to accomplish by confiscating gold? With the benefit of hindsight, everything we've done has led us to this point where USD is world reserve currency, we have largest economy and we have the biggest gold hoard by far. The FDR Act helped pull us out of the Great Depression. And then that accumulated gold helped pay for WW2.
