Yesterday I just won an auction for the 2009-P Nickel and it came with 2 free 2009-P dimes. Ended up costing $18.00 and free priority mail shipping.

I thought we had a link to $7 2009 nickels ? I know I've seen 2009p dimes going for well under $3 now , last night I watched one end at 2.79.
These were all free shipping.

I wrote to the $7.00 seller on ebay. He said he will look for a higher grade nickel and get back to me.
Now I won't pass up an MS66 or MS67 2009 P Full step Jefferson shipped for $7.00. He is going to send me an image of the front and back. If it meets my standards, $7.00 won't kill me.
I don't like it but it's either that or detox and rehab for me, which will cost a lot more.
We shall see what he offers.
The $7.00 BIN coins are very nicky and baggy looking so far but the best price to date.

Thats just it Wheezy , you are exactly right , they are selling the bag marked coins with free shipping. Its usually if not always a stock coin photo , not the coin you will receive.Your idea seems the best,if he really will cherry pick one for you.
I suspect he will , the backside of these coins are dropping faster than Hollywood underwear right now.

nicky and baggy looking

I like that !........has a nice "ring" to it !
This could apply to a lot of things in life besides the condition of a coin !....Might have to start using this phrase ! .

Hey "nicky and baggy looking" and "dropping faster than Hollywood underwear right now." seem to go together well.

For some reason, I thought of Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie when I read those following comments.

I got the coins today. They weren't all banged up either. Though I am a little troubled for the fact they advertised free priority mail shipping but it wasn't mailed via priority mail.

Price update
2009 P nickels, by the roll, are now selling for around $60.00 shipped if you look enough, and slowly and steadily dropping each week. That equals $1.50 per nickel.

They are selling by the roll what some people were paying at the start of the summer for single coins!

Some singles were even selling for higher!
I still don't own one yet but I might buy a roll when they go under $40.00, keep 5 nice ones for myself, and move the rest back out to collectors on the forum. I predict I have a week or two to wait and buy.

Whezzy....I am sure you would have no problems selling off the extras since you can put me down for one as well.

Still watching the various threads to get an idea of what is going on with the 2009 D dime and nickel.
