Won this from the GC auction last Sunday and wanted to see if ANACS got the grade right..........the "shmutz" on the obverse under LIBERTY is on the holder.

its a decent semi-key.

i'd call the reverse XF40. not sure whats going on with the flatness of the profile. it could be strike related as I'm not seeing that on the rest of the coin on either side. tough call but if it was mine i'd call it VF35 but I'm always a little high on the lincolns.

The wear on the face is not consistent with the rest of the coin so I assume we have a soft strike issue. VF-30

Looks like the "flat face" brought this down to a Fine grade.
