I am using a Fujifilm XT-2; Manual adapt to M-42 thread; add a Pentax Bellows and 105 mm f4 Bellows Takumar. I mount the camera on a copy stand and have a two LED White Light kit.

I am playing with sidelight (shows more depth) vs. two lights. For this slabbed Guatemala 1/4 Real, 1888, PCGS MS63, I liked the sidelight better for both obverse (Volcanoes) and reverse (Lion).

I like the bellows for this coin given it is so small (11 mm dia). I have some other lenses to play with as well as extension tubes. I may prefer smaller more local lighting, but for now the copy stand kit works ok.

Excellent photo, John Q - you did a great job with that very tiny coin!
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

Thought it was a larger dollar-sized coin because of the quality, amazing photo for such a small coin!

Thanks, everyone.

From a viewing perspective is it better to show a smaller coin in a smaller picture? I go to a full sized picture, then state the diameter. In the end, a circle is a circle!

I would call that a fairly nice photo.
