My father passed away, and this was in with some of his things. So far, I have not been able to find another one that has the date 1914 on the front - they all have 1915. Not sure of much else about it.

To CCF, oldcoinscout! Interesting acquisition. Unfortunately, I don't know anything about these, so I'll let another more knowledgeable member help you out.

to the CCF, oldcoinscout. That's a really cool Pan-Pac Lucky Penny!
There were not official releases but rather souvenirs sold to Exposition visitors. I don't think that the manufacturer is known. This type of large Lucky Penny was not exclusive to the Expo, but rather variations were sold at many tourist destinations across the US. This obverse (or a very similar design) was frequently used with different years, while the reverse changed to reflect the local market.
One thing that others may not realize is that these medals are huge - from 50 to 75 mm.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

Thanks for the welcome! This is indeed a large coin 75mm. I've just been trying to learn what I can about it and seemed to have a hard time finding them with this year on the Obverse. There was a fair amount of coins that my dad had but I just found this to be such a unique piece.
