Linked here are the 2027 youth sports quarter and paralympic sports half dollar designs that were reviewed by the CCAC during their recent February 24 meeting. Subjects include baseball, golf, soccer, softball, and snowboarding for the quarters, and wheelchair basketball for the half dollars. https://www.ccac.gov/portfolios

I wish we could put circulating "commemoratives" on hold after 2026.

Golf and Snowboarding seem like privileged "sports" to me. Where's Flag Football, Basketball or even Over the Line these were all sports we played in the streets when I was a kid and could be played throughout the US.

Well, I'm old. Maybe 2026 is a good line for me to stop chasing an endless stream of multiple design changes every year, and stick to the legacy stuff. Coinage should have more stability than city bus advertisements.
I just bought albums for Statehood, National Parks, and American Women. Hoping the last one has some blank holes for 2026, then I'm breaking the timeline.

I don't care for the designs myself, I think they are too detailed which does not come out looking quite right on the finished coin. I do wish they would stop doing these many commemorative designs on the quarters and stick with one design. I am partial to the Crossing the Delaware design myself. They lost me after the ATB series and I don't really even collect quarters, but I will occasionally hold onto some nice examples found in change but I won't with the women's series.

Not a fan of these designs, although anything with a dog on it is better.

But we've been doing five per year for a quarter century. Plus 2-3 Mints if you're into that. Just a P&D set since they started represents 280 coins! An album that would've previously covered a half-century now covers a decade. It's too much, and I feel (right or wrong) that the proliferation has harmed the hobby. Who can keep up?

Umm...there not going to use dogs, are they? That would be funny.

At this point, I think it would be weird to not have thematic quarters. I might have to get a working dog commemorative silver dollar though.

I'm in the same boat, 2026 might be the an end point for me.
My interest in the quarters waned with the American Women program but I still got the silver proofs because melt value should exceed their cost someday
I don't think I'll get the Youth Sports Quarters, nor will I get the Halves
I'll buy the future Presidential sets and I might get the occasional offering if the mint does a special finish or low mintage coin.
For all we know 2032 might be the end of numismatic coins produced by the mint

How about 'Dodge Ball'? Quote: Well, I'm old. Maybe 2026 is a good line for me to stop chasing an endless stream of multiple design changes every year, and stick to the legacy stuff. I will probably still get all three Mint sets, so I will still be getting the quarters for the time being.

I agree that there have been too many design changes per year. However, the American Womens Quarter series was nicely done and very educational. It activated a collecting interest in two of our granddaughters.
