Tried to own one of these for awhile, finally able to. It's a Crosby 1-B, so the most common variety with a Medium Head and Seated Left reverse.

From Google: The 1787 Nova Eborac refers to a series of privately minted copper coins produced in New York during 1787, before the U.S. federal government established a national mint. The name "Nova Eborac" is Latin for "New York," and these coins were struck by Ephraim Brasher and John Bailey, who were denied official permission by the New York State Assembly to mint currency. The Nova Eborac coppers were widely accepted in commerce. These coins are linked stylistically and through punch marks to the even rarer 1787 Brasher Doubloon, suggesting a shared minting operation.

With a decent amount of remaining detail, especially on the obv, this is a great pick-up. Well done!

That is quite a nice example of the type as I mentioned in dan's group. In my opinion much better than rescue condition, and quite historical with the association to Ephraim Brasher, as you mention.
