1787 Nova Eborac New York Colonial Copper Halfpence - Rescue Condition

Tried to own one of these for awhile, finally able to. It's a Crosby 1-B, so the most common variety with a Medium Head and Seated Left reverse.

The name "Nova Eborac" is Latin for "New York," and these coins were struck by Ephraim Brasher and John Bailey, who were denied official permission by the New York State Assembly to mint currency. The Nova Eborac coppers were widely accepted in commerce. These coins are linked stylistically and through punch marks to the even rarer 1787 Brasher Doubloon, suggesting a shared minting operation.
