Not at all. You only see it from the high magnification, TPGs only use 5x or 10x to grade with.

Actually, they only eye grade. A loupe is only used for fine details and confirmation.

So on a 1909-S VDB you're saying a grader will not give it a closer look with a loupe to make sure it's not a counterfeit?

I missed the drama earlier in this thread, but I'm happy that it turns out to be a legit 09S VDB. Congratulations!

It must feel great to complete this set. This coin and the 14D are holding me back from completing my Lincoln set. At this point, I doubt I will pull the trigger on either coin. But you never know! I would happily put this coin ungraded into my Dansco album with all the others.

The 14d was the last one I bought, it was a huge relief to finish. I started the book 1909- 1940 when I was 27. Thirty years later I have completed 1909-2025. I have probably 6k wheats left over from all the years lol
