daltonista Pillar of the Community United States 1077 Posts	Posted 03/20/2026 4:39 pm To finish up Stage 3 of my rolling retirement from active collecting, I've consigned almost 90 tokens as described in the heading above to Noonan's of Mayfair in London, UK, for inclusion in their Spring 2026 biannual sale of British Trade Tokens, Tickets and Passes. The auction is now underway through its April 22nd closing, and Noonan's website has a handy link that will take you directly to my 33 lots, numbered 342 through 374. (Click on the image...) This group includes some pretty hard-to-find pieces for any Regency Period collectors, including one token not seen in public since 1934 that's reported in the auction description as "in all probability UNIQUE." Six lots comprise silver tokens, with the rest all coppers, an expected distribution given the makeup of the universe of Regency Period tokens, whether Irish or English. Thirteen of my lots are singletons, including three that are TPG-slabbed, with the rest in small, rationally curated groups, including seven pairs, generally arranged by related types or multiple varieties within a type. Fifteen of these tokens are noted as RRR (extremely rare) in the Withers catalog, while 18 fall into the RR, or very rare, category. Three of my tokens are actual "Withers plate coins," and two others are remarked upon by Noonan's as superior to that catalog's plate coins. Starting bids range from £30 - £400, with high estimates topping out at £600. Whether you're a dealer or a collector of Irish tokens in particular or of the wider 1811-1820 British series, there's an excellent chance you'll find something of interest. And if you have any friends, associates, or customers who concentrate in these areas, I'd very much appreciate your forwarding this announcement to them.
