Trying to decide whether to do something that I have always adamantly opposed doing !
NGC Ancients ......
But are these two 'boys' worth encapsulating ?
Not sure really
Its all a matter of "attribution"

These were struck by Domitius Domitianus. I have the whole series here--

https://constantinethegreatcoins.com/Alexandria/

and I couldn't imagine slabbing any of mine

here's my Domitianus

Two-Folles-Alexandria

Domitius Domitianus
A.D. 295- 296
24mm 10.8g
IMP C L DOMITIVS DOMITIANVS AVG; laureate head right.
GENIO POPV-LI ROMANI; Genius standing left, modius on head, naked except for chlamys over left shoulder, holding patera and cornucopiae, eagle to left; A in right.
In ex. ALE
RIC VI Alexandria 20

the Domitianus connection just doesn't add much of a premium to the coins in this series. Below are some that I sold and the only one that was a bit pricey was the Diocletian and that was because I over paid for it in a CNG auction

I agree with @vic on this--not a huge fan of slabbing ancients. I've only left one or two entombed from the ones I've bought.

Thank you Victor for confirming what I suspected but was hesitant to assert ! I seriously doubt I will be adding a Domitius Domitianus to my collection but these will do !
I have around 150 or so Tetrarchy folles in my coin cabinets
As my health has declined somewhat precipitously the last few years I have investigated the idea of slabbing some favorites to leave to my two children

This Maximianus seems a bit odd ?
"unofficial" ? Perhaps
The obv looks right
But the reverse seems a bit 'sloppy' ? as well as light weight

Your Maximianus looks fine. The reverses tend to be a bit less refined because I suspect that they were quickly made due to the short reign of Domitianus. The eagle on my Domitianus is very poorly rendered (pic below) The weight is a little light, but nothing too far outside the range.

As they were reasonably round flans I acquired some after market slabs and 'encapsulated' them myself (1.50 ea)!
Will probably leave well enough alone
But all those Londons .
I don't know
Starting to think I might like them 'bottled' !
