Very nice collection there jbuck. I had forgot about the Turkish coin. It must have been from when I visited Turkey and you had to support a few GTP proxy guesses for me. Pleased to see that you still have it.

Thank you. Yes, you gave me a small set after your trip! I posted less flattering photos in the past. I will get the others re-imaged as this project continues.

Nice looking at foreign coins - I have mostly zero knowledge of them. Is there a rhyme or reason for those you collected or just random examples?

Quote: And I didn't know you where into world coins, congrats on going to the dark side. Thank you. As I said up top, I have had these since the early to mid 1980s. Anything acquired after that came from friends who traveled abroad and brought some back. Example, the 2014 from Nickelsearcher. There are plenty more to come! This is just the first of many Dansco pages.

I am not sure if she ordered them through the coin magazines she bought me or if she got them from the coin guy at the Sears. Probably both. It was forty+ years ago, so anything is possible.

Nice world coins, jbuck! Maybe we'll see some of them again in Around the World... Quote: 1974 Gambia 1 Butut KM#8 That's KM#14, the FAO issue for that year.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures
