Quote:The top 5 guesses may have noticed that this is an 8TF Morgan. Namely after attributing it is a VAM 17. A rather common 8TF but none the less an 8TF. This is the holder that I found this beauty in. I knew it was an 1878 8-tail feather Morgan; my $198 guess was in the ballpark for an unrated coin of this type. The original picture did NOT show any indication that it was a graded coin, which could have boosted the price by another 50-60 dollars, putting me on target... We do not get the complete story on most of these contest coins...

Quote: We do not get the complete story on most of these contest coins... No story at all, just a purchase date and a couple of of images for evaluation. That's what makes the game fun and a challenge.

I've been playing this game for a LONG time - and I'm in full agreement with the current approach. The time for the 'story' is after the round ends, then we all can learn about the coin. Quote: Can Pete, pull off another championship. Unlikely for a GTP gold - but Pete certainly has a pathway to a GTP podium. By my math - there are 9 GTP players remaining with a pathway to the season podium. Same as in my 15K contest. Best of wishes to the contenders in your Round 10 guesses. I'm way out of it. But I will offer the following Round 10 guess and extend my GTP all-time guessing streak to 760 consecutive rounds played! Round 10 Ike: $27

I'm absolutely flummoxed. My apologies to everybody who knows Morgans, because I was in a rush to get out the door for work and I had to make a guess so I didn't miss the round. I used my intuition, I guess. Thanks for all the well wishes but I'm pretty sure everybody should feel confident in their position going into the final round.
