Hi everyone,

I've just noodled a 1960 Venezuela 1 bolivar coin. Numista notes 2 varieties based on thick and thin lettering. Unfortunately, no image is provided. Does anyone have a reference image so I can tell the difference and determine which variety I have?

Thank you all

HI David. Hope you're keeping well.

This is what I found with a quick Google search.
This is the thin one apparently.

I posted a thick one too, but it was incorrect. Looking again.

Thanks Steve although I have to say, certainly doesn't stick out. I'm squinting to try and see a difference.

I'm doing OK. Usual week in week out of work.

How's that cyclone treating you?

I did some more checking, but can't find any pic of the thick.
I found one site that describe the thin as being low relief, and thick as being high relief. Maybe the high relief is from coin sets.

Glad to see you're fine. Same here, but hoping to retire in the next few months.

Cyclone was bad up north, but only steady rain, and not too much wind here.

I'm not sure what type mine is, but here's a picture in case that helps...
