You certainly have a niche interest. But do not despair. I am sure there are many lurkers (of the 577 topic views) who are not commenting or are not even members of CCF.

jbuck says: Quote: I am sure there are many lurkers (of the 577 topic views) who are not commenting or are not even members of CCF. I would like to tell, or rather show, how I turned my numismatic passion for coins from all over the world into a pure game, into a numismatic virtual safari with a hunt for wild animals.. Readers could say, for example, that they're interested, and that would be it. Write a review. I think that's what cultured readers do. Or, conversely, say, "You don't understand anything about numismatics, you're a fool, and your topic is stupid!" I remember people telling me this when I started a similar thread on the russian forum a long time ago.. ))

We continue this interesting topic of numismatic research across the entire planet. In this case, that territory is Canada. Sometimes I leaf through the archives of old magazines and collect various rare publications on this topic: Change islands

While going through my old archive, I discovered the only known trading token with a denomination of 5 cents and the inscription Prince Rupert BC (Kaien Island). I wonder if it's in the catalog? :

There are many other islands near Texada Island in British Columbia, including Lasqueti and Gabriola Island. I looked up numismatic information about Gabriola Island and discovered that in 1999, the Lasqueti Island coin series included a silver issue for Gabriola Island. Here it is: I also found a colored "challenge coin" with the inscription "Gabriola Island RCMP" (do you think such coins are now considered numismatics? Do you like it?): Are there any other numismatic tokens about Gabriola Island besides these? I don't know. If you know, please show them and tell us about them here.

At the very beginning of the thread, BCTokens mentioned Quadra Island and tokens without the island's name. I looked through the archives and found one "challenge coin" with the island's actual name: Quadra Island BC RCMP (I don't really know yet how interesting this is in the sense of "real numismatics", but I'm considering it in my topic)

I'm looking through the archives and here's Texada Island in British Columbia again. Two options (a stylized long pressed penny?). I'm not sure if this is numismatic. Please clarify if you understand:

Here on the forum, I've seen several threads related to private numismatics on Lasqueti Island. These are various issues of silver and gold tokens. But I noticed that it's difficult to find images of the entire series of tokens by year. Furthermore, not all issues are directly related to the island. For this reason, I've compiled in the archive, year by year, all the issues I could find that specifically mention the island of Lasqueti. Here they are: 1997 - 2011 I don't know if there are any other tokens or numismatics for Lasqueti Island other than this series. If you know, please tell me or show me..

One day, I was just browsing the internet and noticed two "drink tokens" with the inscription "Ikaluktutiak." It turned out that this is the name of a village in the Northwest Territories on Victoria Island. I started searching, but I haven't found any other numismatics about Victoria Island yet. Have you seen any other numismatics about the islands of Canada's Northwest Territories? Please show me..
