I roll my own cigs and they are 9 cents apiece but would not suggest that if you don't already smoke, horrible habit.  -makecents-

Fire up that time machine with your 12¢ and head to 1966 (or thereabouts). If the clerk gives you a had time about your 21st century coins, you can explain how Superman did a little time traveling and took you along. |

This is from 1969, so we see the inflation from 1966 with the 15¢ price.  We appear to be contemporaries, as I do recall the 12¢ price for comic books. Edited by jpsned

At our local farmer's market, I think you could snag one string bean for 12 cents. If you are really good at negotiating, you might be able to land a cherry or a strawberry for 12 cents.  |
