Proofs are never meant for circulation, but some of them do end up in coin rolls eventually. I have five proof nickels, three proof pennies, a 1968 s silver-clad proof half dollar, and a 2005 s proof Sacagawea dollar.
Actually the 1963 nickel on the left has no mintmark; the rest are San Francisco. I'm very confident that it is a proof since it is mirror reflective, but it is difficult to be absolutely certain.
